About Jessica
For the past 15 years, I worked in mental health as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Although the work was incredibly meaningful, it was also demanding on my nervous system and body, and I ultimately had to step back due to health complications.
When considering a different career path, one idea kept returning to me: helping dogs get out into nature. Being with animals in the natural world has always been my sanctuary — a place that brings me joy, grounding, and inner peace.
My love for animals and the outdoors began while growing up in the Point Reyes National Seashore. I spent the first 20 years of my life on property that was part of the park, so I quite literally grew up inside a national park — an experience I consider a true blessing. Much of my childhood was spent outdoors with my many animal companions, including our dogs, horses, and the cows I raised and showed through FFA and 4-H.
Today, I continue to spend my free time hiking with my family's dogs: Beanie Weanie, a chihuahua-terrier mix; Daphne, a Boston Terrier; and Molly, an energetic Corgi. Spending time outdoors with them reminded me how much little dogs love and benefit from being in nature.
These experiences inspired me to create a business dedicated to giving small dogs the opportunity to enjoy the sunshine, fresh air, and trails through safe, enriching nature adventures.
